Fact: Peru is one of the world's 10 megadiverse countries. The desert dominates the coast, followed by the Andes in the middle and then at last the jungle. I haven't been to the jungle yet, so if you ask me what region do I prefer the most, I'd say the desert for sure. specially the one in Ica, that is just a three hour car ride south of Lima. I'm the happiest there...I really cannot get enough of the scenery with the sand dunes, the emerald colour of the ocean, the wineries along the highway... ahh the pictures do no justice.
